There have been changes made to the turbo-petrol engine, and the Venue N Line now has a lower starting price

  • Venue and Venue N Line now get ADAS in their respective top-end trims.
  • Addition of this tech has made the trims pricier by up to Rs 20,000.
  • The 1-litre turbo-petrol engine now gets a 6-speed manual, which replaces the iMT.
  • The manual has been introduced in the Venue N Line, making it more accessible.
  • Venue is the most affordable car to feature ADAS in India.

Hyundai India has made a couple of important changes to its subcompact SUV, the Venue and Venue N Line. Both models now get the addition of certain ADAS features, making them the most affordable cars to get this safety system. Also, the turbo-petrol engine now comes with a proper 6-speed manual instead of the 6-speed iMT clutchless manual.

And for the enthusiasts, there’s better news as the Venue N Line, which earlier got just the DCT, can be picked up with the manual.

Venue With ADAS

The Venue’s ADAS is limited to the top-end SX (O) trim in the standard car and N8 trim in the N Line. With the addition of this tech, prices of their respective variants have also gone up as illustrated in the table below:

As seen in the table below, the ADAS feature commands a premium of up to Rs 20,000. It also narrowly edges out the Honda City, the next most affordable car with ADAS, in price. To put things in perspective, the City gets ADAS from the V trim onwards, priced at Rs 12.59 lakh, to its top-end hybrid trim, which costs Rs 20.39 lakh.

Though unlike the City, the Hyundai Venue doesn’t get the entire ADAS suite. It only gets the following features: forward-collision warning, forward-collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, lane following assist, high beam assist, leading vehicle departure alert and driver attention warning.

You don’t get adaptive cruise control, which maintains the speed and preset distance from the vehicle ahead.

The Hyundai Venue’s 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol engine is now teamed with a 6-speed MT instead of the 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual). It is sold alongside the 7-speed DCT. And for the enthusiasts, there’s better good news as the Venue N Line now gets the choice of a 6-speed manual. Earlier, it was offered with just the automatic transmission. As a result, its starting prices have come down by Rs 80,000 as illustrated below:
