Around 1,200 Kodiaqs have been booked since launch. The number is on the lower side as it’s a CKD offering

  • Offered in three trims: Style, Sportline (New), and Laurin and Klement.
  • Kodiaq prices have been recently increased by Rs 1 lakh.
  • Customers booking the Kodiaq have to pay new prices.
  • Powered by 190PS 2-litre TSI engine, paired to a 7-speed DCT.

This was quite unexpected, but the overwhelming response of the facelifted Skoda Kodiaq has resulted in the SUV being sold out for the remainder of 2022. Around 1,200 vehicles have been booked, and the lower number is due to the fact that the Kodiaq is a completely knocked down (CKD) car. Nevertheless, it’s a good start for the Kodiaq TSI in India.

This good news has also resulted in a bummer for potential customers booking the SUV now. Prices have been increased by Rs 1 lakh, and they will come into effect from April 1 onwards.

The facelifted Skoda Kodiaq is offered in three broad trims: Style, Sportline (New), and Laurin and Klement. Take a look at the revised variant-wise prices:

All trims get the rather brilliant 190PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that drives all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Thanks to its monocoque construction and an able chassis, the Kodiaq is quite car-like and fun to drive. Also, the Dynamic Chassis Control allows you to adjust the stiffness of the dampers.

But it’s not all good news as the Kodiaq does fall short on certain aspects. You can read our in-depth first drive review for more insight.

The facelifted Skoda Kodiaq locks horns with the Volkswagen Tiguan and Toyota Fortuner petrol. And if you don’t mind the less brand value of Skoda, it’s a more affordable option to the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40
