BMW has introduced the sportiest version of the M4 on our shores, the M4 Competition Sport (CS). It is the first time a Competition Sport model has been launched in India and basically to put it in simple terms, it’s the most hardcore BMW performance model ever. Priced at Rs 1.89 crore, it comes at a premium of Rs 36 lakh over the M4 Competition and yes, that’s a lot of money.
But the sportiest iteration features several mechanical upgrades which make it a more track-focused and agile car. Other than mechanical updates, there are some cosmetic tweaks as well to go along with its blitzing performance. Let’s take a detailed look:
BMW M4 Competition Sport: What Makes It Quicker?
The M4 CS is one of the most track-focused BMWs out there. With the CS version, BMW has given several upgrades to the M4. The chassis has been tuned and the weight has been reduced by 20 kgs. It sports lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels up front and 20-inch wheels at the rear as standard. The suspension has also been tweaked for better rigidity and handling, which means you can go fast around the corners with more confidence. Going fast also needs better braking power, and for that BMW has offered it with M compound brakes and if you aren’t satisfied, you can upgrade it to carbon ceramics!
Apart from making it more agile, BMW has also updated the engine specifications. The M4 CS features a 3-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine which produces 558 PS and 650 Nm.That’s 28 PS more, while torque output remains the same. It goes from 0-100 kmph in 3.4 seconds, which is 0.1 second quicker than the M4 Competition. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
BMW M4 Competition Sport: Design And Features
A fast car needs to have sporty looks to compliment its nature. With the M4 Competition Sport, BMW has made the already sporty looking car even sportier with cosmetic enhancements.
