Recently, Apollo Tyres expanded its range of tyres in India with the launch of the Vredestein range in India. What’s more, they’ll be locally assembled units. For those that haven’t heard of this brand, it's actually well known in European markets. Here’s everything to know about it:
What Is Vredestein?

The Vredstein name is quite the veteran name with its origins dating back to the Netherlands back in 1909. It started off with products such as shoe heels, tennis balls, floor covering, boots and indoor football balls, but by the 70s, its focus went largely towards building tyres for cars and bikes. Where Apollo Tyres came into the picture was in 2009, when it acquired the 100+ year old brand.
Products For India

In India, Vredestein tyres will cater towards premium vehicles in sizes ranging from 15 to 20-inches. For cars, two tyre products will be on offer: Ultrac Vorti and Ultrac. The former caters towards luxury brands such as Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Land Rover and Volvo, while the latter is being marketed towards the likes of the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Baleno.
Distribution

For now, the Vredestein range of tyres can be speeced as a replacement for your car’s current tyres, but the company will be discussing with carmakers to make them a standard fitment on their models.
Availability

Initially, Vredestein tyres will be available at Apollo‘s existing sales and service network of outlets, but specialist counters are being considered for the future.
