Tata Motors has commenced bookings for its most affordable electric offering, the Tiago EV. Tata will start displaying it in major cities from October, while test drives are slated to commence from December. Furthermore, deliveries of the electric hatchback will begin from January.

The all-electric hatch is priced from Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in four broad trims: XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Tech Lux. It’s available with two powertrains and home charging options, and we have compiled the detailed variant-wise prices in this table below:

The Tiago EV is powered by two powertrain options. The base model utilises a 61PS/110Nm electric motor drawing power from a 19.2kWh battery, while those looking for a zestier option can consider the top model’s 75PS/114Nm electric motor with a 24kWh battery pack. Its MIDC-claimed range stands at 250km and 315km respectively.

However, it will soon face competition from the Citroen C3 EV, which has been spied testing on multiple occasions.
