Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-founder of Ola Electric, has tweeted that the company has delivered almost 7,000 Ola S1s in February. He also revealed that the startup intends to deliver 15,000 units this month.
As per the ‘Vahan’ vehicle registration portal, Ola Electric has registered 3,904 units. For reference, Ather Energy had sold 2,042 units of the 450X last month. Ola Electric claims that because of its ‘Direct To Customer’ business model, quite a few vehicles were delivered with temporary registration, which did not reflect on the portal. Moreover, Vahan doesn’t show data from all the states.
Ola Electric had opened its second window of sales in late January 2022. And now, with the production ramped up to meet the growing demand, the process should be a lot better. That said, Ola Electric is yet to make any announcement regarding the missing features on the S1 Pro model.
