Mahindra has confirmed the electrification of its entire ICE-powered vehicle lineup at its global conference in South Africa. That means models such as the Scorpio, Bolero, XUV models and the Thar will all be electrified and there will be pure electric versions down the road. All these models will have ‘.e’ suffix after their name.
Now, Mahindra is yet to divulge all the details of these models. But it has confirmed a new identity, under the Born Electric Vehicle brand identity for all these models. So yeah, you can expect unique styling touches of these models and only the XUV400 will sport the copper elements to denote it’s an EV. They will also have revised and differing battery pack and powertrain options.

Speaking of which, Mahindra revealed its electric powertrain specifications at the ongoing event. To make life easier, we have divulged the specifications of these powertrains in the table below:

Rear Motor (By VW) |
Rear Motor (By Valeo) |

The next all-electric Mahindra we suspect to be introduced is the XUV.e8 (electric XUV700), expected to launch in the second half of 2024. All of these models will also join alongside Mahindra’s BE range, which will be ground-up built electric cars. While these cars will have both ICE and electric versions, like the XUV300 and XUV400.
