The changes on the facelifted e-tron, which gets a new prefix to its name, go beyond the styling revisions

  • Facelifted e-tron gets the Q8 prefix to its moniker.

  • Offered in three trims abroad:  e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron S.

  • India is likely to get the first two variants like the current model.

  • Majority of the styling revisions have been done to the front end.

  • Should be offered in SUV and Sportback (SUV Coupe) body styles.

  • Confirmed for India, likely to be an imported unit.

Just days after its global reveal, the Audi Q8 e-tron’s India launch has been confirmed through a teaser. The facelifted e-tron, which now gets the Q8 prefix to its name, should come in traditional SUV and Sportback (SUV Coupe) body styles, like the current pre-facelift model sold here.

What’s new?

Apart from the revised name, Audi has tweaked the design of the electric SUV with a strap of DRL connecting both headlamps. The ’face’ of the EV sports a fresh grille with faux air dams that are reminiscent of the ICE-powered Q8.

The styling isn’t all-new as the side and rear profiles seem largely unchanged. The real changes have been made under the skin with its updated powertrains and here are all the specifications:
