Q. How can I check my Hyundai Santro's mileage?

You may check the mileage in the MID, which shows the Kmpl of the trip. To reset the trip, you need to push the lever provided behind the steering wheel on the speedometer / tachometer window. However, my experience is that Santro's mileage displayed on the MID is not very accurate when I compare with the other cars that I own / owned in the past. So, you may check manually using the full tank to full tank method. In fact that was suggested by even the Hyundai service center guys.

There are 2 different ways to do so. One is to get the petrol tank full, make trumpeter to zero, drive for 150-200 kns. Again get the tank filled up to top. Check the quantity of fuel and kns . Calculate. Same calculation can be done when the tank goes in reserve.
