The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder motor that now delivers 14PS and 13.4Nm. Power output is down by 1PS in comparison to the older motor, while torque has increased by 1Nm. The new motor complies with BS-IV emission norms and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine also features Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP) that recycles fuel that vaporises from the tank and uses it for combustion. Bajaj claims that the new Pulsar 150 will run for 65km on a litre of fuel. The bike employs telescopic front forks and gas charged twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking responsibilities are handled by 220mm disc brake at front wheel and a 130mm drum unit on the rear wheel. The claimed ARAI mileage for the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is 44 kmpl. • Q. Is pulsar 150 good for long ride
    Abhisek
    Abhisek | 7 months ago

The new machine now comes with oil cooled engine so u need to give it a rest around 80 to 90 range and then have a start over again . In very long rides above 120 to 130 km in one go it can give u the slight vibration note to ur ears . So it's better to rest it in longer rides.

Ride quality will be awesome and city mileage will be 40-55 kmph depends on your driving and service maintenance cost will be less for normal oil service it wll take only 1000 bucks at the max for every 3 k kms, low maintenance is best thing out of bajaj.

  • Q. I want to buy pulsar 150 standard version. How is it's reliability, engine refinement and mileage?
    ROCKFORT
    ROCKFORT | 11 months ago

Dear Prabhakar i am using pulsar 150 2013 model and for me its simply superb because it depends on how you are going to maintain. Till now after 5 yrs with proper care my rides fuel efficiency is 55kmpl which means no harsh acceleration, no rash riding and timely service. Not even single puncture and Tyre change . Whatever bike you buy it depends upon how you maintain. Since you are interested in Pulsar 150 You can buy but my small suggestion is any bike buy with ABS(Dual channel)
