My Maestro Edge is 11 months old. Faced problem in starting. Service center guys are telling to change the crank shaft. Why such early failures? Should I repair or ask for new engine?

Only 11 months old and crankshaft change is something which is not acceptable. But it all depends on how much kilometres the scooter has run, quality of oil and fuel used, driving habits, timely maintenance etc. If all this are followed as adviced by the manufacturer then try changing the sparkplug, check ignition system, clean carburettor/injectors (If MPFI model- it has chronic starting problem), check fuel filter etc. Above all - 11 months means the scooter is still under warranty. Go for free repairs or claim replacement if the results are not satisfactory.

Maestro Edge is the worst bike in 110 cc segment. Bought the bike in Dec 2020, within a year it had issues pertaining to fuel pump which resulted into frequent breakdowns during daily commute. We changed the entire fuel pump but the issue was not resolved by the service center. The break down continued during daily commute as the bike wont start again. I myself changed the battery and the issue was resolved. These service center folks in Payyanur, Kerala are incapable of resolving the basic issues in a bike. Now after 2 years the bike is again facing the same issue of frequent breakdowns during daily commute. I bought the bike only because of the trust with Hero but the brand has drastically changed over the years and is currently unreliable. Please don't opt for this bike you can have much better options in the market.

Yes this bike is not reliable because I am also facing the same problem, of crank shaft is bend, due to this vehicle is not starting at all times, sometime it may start with kicker but this becomes horrible to us. So it is not reliable for journey. These services centres folks does not know where the the problem is and incapable of resolveing the issue, simple replace the bendex, and refix to the clutch assembly. But the problem doesn't end there. After 2 days the problem once again, now the service centre say crank shaft bend need replacement with engine overhauling work. Worst diagonise and cannot judge these flocks. Simple useless fellow at the service centre at anna nagar, Chennai

Hero metro Edge bahut hi bakwas model hai ismein technical problem jaise engine bahut jyada rahti hai kyunki Mera metro 5000 kilometre per hi kai problem a rahi hai metre lights band jaisi bahut problem a rahi hai nazdiki service centre adinath motors chauraha banetha per dikhaye jaane per bhi Koi sanshodhan nahin hua

Mere same model ka bhi same problem hei. Usko sath abhi 3 years ke hone ko new problem jai se engine ka jyada vibration and engine skid Karna start ho gaya hei
