Dear Yashwant, I also decided to buy Thunderbird 500. As you said, I can wait until they launch in BS6 version. But, what I heard is \'RE will stopped their 500CC varients of bikes in BS6 version\'. Really is that true? Because I would like to buy 500 not 350 or 650. So could you say anything up to this?
There is no cosmetic difference between 500 and 350 the difference you feel is all about the milage and power but if you wait for a while Thunderbird is going to come in bs6 version and with abs so you will have more value for money. please wait for a month in October it's going to come.
My opinion is don’t buy RE bikes . Nowadays RE is making only profit out the ppl money and there isn’t any improvement on the vibrations and better pick up. It’s gonna cost more and more on servicing and spares . Look for something Jawa or similar one . But No RE . My experience. They jus wanna manufacture in mass quantities and not a better bikes .
Mileage will comeout to be 22kmpl, maintainance cost is high, insurance for an year would cost u around 3200. If driving in a city ir small distances the comfort level is the same 350 would be good pick for u
I think it would suit your personality. Go pick up
If you can spend more money for maintenance you can go!
Yup bt u need to maintain the bike in long run, which is a bit costlier, the build quality has quite diminished in 500cc not talking about 500x. So if passionate like me u can, bt classic 350 is always a good to go bike
Yes royal enfield engines are amazing i have thunderbird 300 black colour its quit good for city rides you can go for it but if you don't want 2 bikes than pls sell your old bike at a ggood price
Don't know about you but I have two..Money does not come in between passion.Ask them why do people climb the same mountain twice???? Any Idea...
I mean ur questiob is about ThunderbirdX,it is the newer version with a colourful paint hehe, and an alloy wheel, but if u are a true royal enfield lover,i migjt prefer Thunderbird without colourful paint and without slim Alloy.
Both are same, you can get many color options in 500x and some design tweeks
No difference except cosmetic changes. Solely my views
It depends on your daily use. Fuel efficiency is better in 350. Easy and smooth commuters bike. If you want more power 500.. even higher then interceptor 650...If you plan for long tours and highway cruise then definitely 500..If you plan for resale after a few years, then 350 sales better in second hand than 500. All the best
350is a commuter. But where as 500 for tours and rides. 500is fitted with EFI for better performance and torque at high altitudes. But in BSVI 350 which is having 6speed gear box, double cradle frame, duel channel ABS and digital instrument console and also with EFI is coming soon. Wait until 2020.
If u want an extra push and throttle feel and a sudden outbusrt of pickup and power 500 is ur pick bt for city diving 350 will do the justice
It depends for what purpose you want to have a bike. Surely Himalayan is the bike with less vibrations from Royal Enfield house. Better go with Himalayan if you like adventure riding and Off roading.
Tb 500 driving comfort I dont thinks so. it vibrates. alot. take a test drive if both. I would suggest u for the himalayan
Trust me the himalayan is much more comfortable and has far less vibrations than the Tb500There is simply no comparisons.Himalayan is a far better bike.also it is cheaper to buy and maintain
It's too good bike for touring or for occasional riding and for us mileage is good for 500cc 32kmpl and in dis the great thing is royal Enfield suit power exhaust only not only silent vibration
Several sites will provide you comparison charts of one against the other. both have SAME engine. BUT ,TBX has 1. tubeless tyres.2. alloy wheels3. ABS4. straightened handle bar 5. fresh look with the two tone colours ( if you are a chrome lover then tb is your pick) as TBX exhaust has no chrome. it's black. choice is yours. Happy riding.
If u r ready for a good maintainace cost go for it Only riding a 500cc bike in city wont be a good choice the mileage comes down to 22kmpl. Choose wisely
Try classic 350, jawa cant be trusted so early in the market and tbd 500 would please u on the highways U can also opt for the 350 variant of tbd
I'll certainly suggest Thunder Bird. Don't get carried away by past glory of jawa. Enfield are experts in four stroke engine manufacture. Or else wait to see if jawa performs to win people's minds.
Technology jawa is probably BS 6 . Engine I mean power and for long ride and tall guys TB 500
