In order to maintain its stronghold in the national championship, TVS has had to soup up its Apache RTR 160 4V. Race-ready parts were thrown into the engine, power was bumped up and the racing livery was adorned. And voila, the Apache RTR 165 RP was born. Now, all of the 200 units of the bike have been sold out, a remarkable achievement considering it costs Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). So, is this Apache unique enough and has TVS produced a bike that is capable enough to make its road customer feel like a national champion? Our boy Jehan Adil Darukahanawala finds out the answer.
