The Mahindra Thar RWD brings a new flavour to the Thar lineup. The rear wheel drive configuration allows the Thar RWD’s entry price to appeal to a whole new bracket of customers looking for an extension to their flamboyant lifestyle. And while the Thar may have given up a little of it’s off-road cred, it’s still powerful, just as imposing and as feature rich as the 4x4 variants.
The Thar RWD will be available with a choice of two engines; the mStallion 150 TGDI petrol paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and the D117 CRDe diesel paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Prices for the new Thar RWD start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
