The 2019 Hero Maestro Edge 125 has been launched at a starting price of Rs 58,500. This new model gets a 125cc engine from the Hero Destini and also features a fuel injection variant. This Maestro Edge makes 9.24PS of power and 10.2Nm of torque with FI, while the carburetor version makes 8.83PS. The carburetted variant also features Hero MotoCorp’s i3S, or Idle Start Stop System.
Along with the new engine, the Maestro Edge 125 finally gets a front disc brake option, becoming Hero’s first scooter to get a disc brake. Integrated Braking System (IBS) is offered as standard on all variants, along with alloy wheels. It also gets an LED DRL on the front apron, but still retains a halogen headlight from the Maestro Edge 110. Aside from this, it also retains a remote fuel filler cap, a remote seat release, under-seat light and a USB charger.The Maestro Edge 125 rides on telescopic suspension at the front, with a 12-inch front wheel and a single shock at the back with a 10-inch wheel. It goes up against scooters like the Honda Grazia, Activa 125, TVS NTorq and Suzuki Burgman Street.
