Hero Electric has showcased two electric scooters at the Auto Expo 2020. The two scooters are called AE-29 and AE-8, and they will be introduced in our market very soon. The AE-8 is a low-speed scooter with a top speed of 25kmph. It can cover 80km on a full charge. Neo-retro styling with a round theme makes it look similar to a Vespa or the new Chetak.
The AE-29 is a high-speed scooter with a claimed top speed of 55kmph thanks to a 1kW motor. Its 3.5kWh lithium-ion battery gives it a range of 80km per charge and requires 4 hours to charge up to full. It is also Hero Electric’s first connected scooter with Bluetooth and IoT connectivity. This allows features like geo-fencing, app connectivity, and an anti-theft system, to name a few.
