Benelli Leoncino 500 is offered in two variants - standard and Trail
The Benelli Leoncino 500 is the company’s latest motorcycle to be launched in India. It features a 500cc inline-twin engine from the TRK 502 which makes 47.5PS and 46 Nm of torque. Benelli only offers the standard version of the Leoncino in India, which gets 17-inch alloy wheels and road-spec Pirelli Angel GT tyres. It employs a tubular frame coupled with a fat 50mm USD front fork and a monoshock which features rebound and preload adjustability. Braking duties on the Leoncino are handled by two 320mm discs with radially-mounted calipers up-front and a 260mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.
The Benelli Leoncino offers the best of both worlds - neo-retro styling paired with modern-day mechanical components. It features LED lights and a full-digital instrument console which is a sweeping change from the dated analogue-digital instrument console on its current crop of bikes. The bike is relatively compact and offers an easy-to-access seat height of just 785mm. The Leoncino is also among the lighter Benellis on offer in India, with a dry weight of 186kg, which aids the nimble handling characteristics of the motorcycle.
