The Aprilia Tuono 457 is the naked, road-oriented version of the company’s phenomenal debut sports bike in the country - the RS 457. Built on the same platform as the RS, this baby Tuono gets the same 457cc inline-twin motor that makes about 47.6PS of power and 43.5Nm of torque. Those figures, paired with a relatively light 175kg kerb weight means this Tuono 457 is an absolute beast when it comes to its power-to-weight ratio. And the more upright ergonomics compared to the RS 457 makes the Tuono a much easier bike to live with everyday. However, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.95 lakh, it’s not exactly “affordable”, but the price is well justified given the premium feel, of the bike, the features it packs and the sheer performance on offer.
