Trek Bicycle Launches New Endurance Bikes In India

Trek Bicycle India has launched four new bicycles in the country - the 2019 Domane AL 2, AL 3, AL 4 and the AL 5. The cycles cater to novice as well as enthusiastic cyclists who are into long-distance riding, also known as endurance cycling. Starting at Rs 57,000, the AL range features the company’s patented lightweight frame which has a lifetime warranty.

Trek Bicycle is a family owned brand that was founded in 1976 in Wisconsin, USA. The premium cycle manufacturer entered the country in 2018 with 34 models in its lineup and now has a sizeable customer base. These models are spread across three genres - road, hybrid and mountain bikes. Prices for which range from Rs 26,000 to Rs 1.65 lakh.

Trek Bicycle launches four new road-bikes – 2019 Domane AL 2, AL 3, AL 4 & AL5 targeting beginners and avid cyclists who are into endurance cycling. The all new Domane AL series features a lightweight Alpha Aluminium frame with endurance geometry to maximize control, handling and responsiveness. The unique IsoSpeed Carbon fork, which swoops forward toward the dropouts, absorbs vibrations from the road so the rider’s arms don’t fatigue as quickly. Consumers can choose from 3 different group sets with a wide range of gearing for long climbs, tubeless ready rims and puncture-resistant “Bontrager R1 Hard-Case Lite” tyres are standard on all 4 variants. The top of the line Domane AL5 is equipped with 11-speed Shimano 105 Drivetrain which includes 105 shifters, 105 front and rear Derailleurs, 105 Crank, 105 Cassette and 105 Chain.

The 2019 Domane AL series in India starts at a price point of INR 57,999 and uses Trek’s patented 100 Series Alpha Aluminum to build frames that are strong, light and provide a ride quality that rivals many of their carbon counterparts. These frames are “Warrantied for Life”
