Tata Motors has bagged an order of 2000 passenger vehicles from SVLL Connect, a group company of Siddhi Vinayak Logistics. The 2000 cars to be delivered by Tata Motors spanning a year will be a mix of the Manza, Indigo eCS and the refreshed Aria that was launched recently. These vehicles will be used over inter-city routes. Tata Motors says a majority of the orders are for the Aria.
According to Deepak Baid, Director, SVLL Connect, “The rapidly growing long-haul personal transportation space has a specific demand for spacious, comfortable vehicles and Tata Motors passenger vehicles provide just that, coupled with reliability and overall performance.”
This is the single largest passenger car vehicle order for Tata Motors who are looking at giving the Aria a new lease of life. The Aria is an impressive car, in fact the best engineered Tata we have driven but its high pricing dented its sales prowess. With the update though, Tata Motors has done a good job of pricing it right and the orders the company is getting are there to speak for. The whole of last year, Tata couldn’t even manage to sell 400 units of the Aria. This one order singlehandedly takes its tally above 2013-14.
