The replacement for the FF is just a week away

Ferrari GTC4Lusso

Like we reported an year back, Ferrari's grand tourer is on its way to India. Ferrari has confirmed that the launch will take place in Mumbai on August 2. While the asking price for a Ferrari depends on the kind of kit the owner specs it with, the base price for the four-seater is expected to hover around the Rs 5 crore mark. Here's a quick crash course of what the GTC4Lusso is about.

The biggest member in the Ferrari family replaces the ye' old Ferrari FF. Design wise, it's an evolution of what we've seen in the past. The proportions are more or less on par with the outgoing FF, but tweaks to the design give the GTC4Lusso a distinct identity. It now sports a 488 GTB-esque face, and quad taillamps make a reappearance on a Ferrari for the first time since the F430 humbly bowed out. While it isn't desperately beautiful, it definitely looks as eyeball-grabbing as a Ferrari rightly should.

Updates to the inside are minimal too. Of course, everything you put your hands on is garnished with leather, and there are innumerable ways you can customise it as well. Highlights include a flat-bottom steering with Ferrari's trademark 'manetinno' dial, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen and space for four. Yep, that's right. You can take three friends for the ride of their lives and possibly scare the living daylights outta them.

Reason being, the Fezza is powered by the same 6.2-litre V12 engine as its predecessor. But, it has been given some more go-power - 30PS and 14Nm to be precise. With a total of 690PS and 697Nm at the beck and call of the driver's right foot, the GTC4Lusso catapults to 100kmph in just 3.4 seconds. Power is sent to all four wheels, and it also gets Ferrari's 4RM-S (four-wheel steering) that is borrowed from the hardcore sibling of the F12 Berlinetta, the F12tdf.
