Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a price hike w.e.f. October 1, 2021, citing increasing input costs as the official reason. This will be Toyota’s second price hike this year.
Here’s how Toyota cars are currently priced:
Model |
Current Pricing (ex-showroom) |
Rs 7.34 to Rs 9.30 lakh |
|
Rs 8.62 to Rs 11.40 lakh |
|
Rs 16.82 to Rs 24.99 lakh |
|
Rs 30.34 to Rs 38.30 lakh |
|
Rs 40.59 lakh |
|
Rs 89.90 lakh |
Toyota has not revealed any further details about the hike, but we expect it to be applicable on the majority of its lineup. Currently, Toyota’s portfolio in India consists of six models: Glanza, Urban Cruiser, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Camry and Vellfire.
In related news, last week Toyota discontinued its entry-level sedan, the Yaris. However, it will be replaced by a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, which could be launched by the end of 2021 or in the first few months of 2022. Read the full article here.
