Isuzu V-Cross

As part of its efforts to keep its lineup relevant, Isuzu has given the V-Cross some minor updates, along with a price hike. But are they enough to make it more appealing to buyers? Let’s take a look at what has changed:

2026 Isuzu V-Cross: Exterior

While the changes to the V-Cross aren’t major, they sure do help improve its universal appeal with the small updates here and there. Starting from the styling, we get to see a sleeker bumper up front, which now comes with a body-coloured lip and fog lamp surrounds. It also gets a larger grille with a black insert in between for better road presence. Keen-eyed viewers will also notice reworked internals for the headlamps.

Towards the side, Isuzu has removed cladding on the wheel arches for a cleaner, classier look and given the 18-inch wheels a new design. It still retains the rather simple profile with a functional look.

At the rear, it now gets a black bumper, instead of the chrome unit on the outgoing car while still featuring the large ‘ISUZU’ lettering on the tailgate and the vertical taillamp setup.

2026 Isuzu V-Cross: Interior

Inside, the V-Cross is similar to the outgoing car with a rounded-off dashboard layout and the boxy 3-spoke steering wheel. It also gets the same dual-tone brown and grey theme for the seats as well. That said, the carmaker has given the pickup a larger touchscreen infotainment system which is now a free-standing unit compared to the older system integrated inside the dashboard.

2026 Isuzu V-Cross: Features And Safety

Equipment-wise, the V-Cross is now equipped with features like a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, an 8-speaker surround sound system, automatic climate control, USB Type-C charging ports and cruise control.

Safety-wise it gets new features such as a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring system and a tyre pressure monitoring system in addition to existing equipment like 6 airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, hill descent control, hill start assist and 3-point seatbelts for all occupants.

2026 Isuzu V-Cross: Powertrain

Under the hood, Isuzu has now discontinued the 4x2 version of the V-Cross, and it is now available with a 4x4 drivetrain only. Besides this change, it continues with the 1.9-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. Here are the detailed specifications of this powertrain:

2026 Isuzu V-Cross: Rivals

The V-Cross is the only other lifestyle pickup on the market besides the Toyota Hilux. But if you’re looking for an off-road focused machine, you can also consider alternatives like the Force Gurkha 3-door, Mahindra Thar and Thar Roxx or its SUV counterpart, the Isuzu MU-X as well.

ZigSays…

Isuzu’s V-Cross, while still being a very capable pickup truck, feels quite dated now with only minimal changes being made since its introduction back in 2016. These new updates do make the pickup feel fresher, although the carmaker should certainly consider bringing along the newer generation that it sells globally if it wants to be a serious player in this segment.
