After a long wait, Tata refreshed the Altroz with an updated design, interior, and multiple new features. It now further enhances its appeal in the premium hatchback segment, offering amenities over its rivals, including the Maruti Baleno. Although the Baleno presents a well-equipped cabin, it misses out on ten features that the 2025 Altroz facelift comes with.
Take a look at these ten features the 2025 Altroz facelift offers over the Maruti Baleno.
Flush Door Handles
Tata has elevated the styling of the Altroz with premium touches like flush-fitted door handles. They are similar to what you might have seen on the Curvv and even feature illumination. On the other hand, the Maruti Baleno boasts traditional door handles. While not a major upgrade, the flush-fitted handles do enhance the overall aesthetics of the car.

Connected LED Tail Lights
Another design update, the 2025 Altroz gets is the connected LED tail light system. These add a sleek touch to the rear profile of the updated Altroz and also complement its overall design. Meanwhile, the Baleno features split LED tail lamps with an upright stance, which doesn’t look as stylish or cohesive as the Altroz facelift.

Sunroof
The 2025 Altroz facelift comes equipped with a sunroof, a feature you would not find even as an option on the Maruti Baleno. The sunroof is offered from the one-above-base Pure variant of the 2025 Altroz, and also features a voice assistant feature as well. This overall enhances the package of the updated Altroz, making it even more attractive to buyers.

Bigger Infotainment System
Compared to the 9-inch infotainment system in the Baleno, the 2025 Altroz features a larger 10.25-inch system. Notably, both the Baleno and Altroz offer wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both hatchbacks also offer amenities like the connected car tech, and 360-degree camera system.

Digital Driver’s Display
Along with the larger infotainment system, the 2025 Altroz also boasts a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, which the Baleno does not offer. The Baleno, on the other hand, features a semi-digital instrument cluster with an MID. The digital driver's display in the Altroz also shows additional information, including navigation, which is a handy feature.

Wireless Phone Charger
The facelifted Altroz also comes equipped with a wireless phone charger, which is missing in the Baleno. Meanwhile, the latter offers fast-charging Type-C and Type-A ports, which would also be available with the 2025 Altroz.
Ambient Lighting
To further enhance the cabin appearance, Tata also offers the 2025 Altroz with ambient lighting. It elevates the beige and white interior scheme of the hatchback. Conversely, the Baleno boasts a blacked-out dashboard and centre console with silver accents.
Air Purifier
The top-specced Accomplished + S variant of the 2025 Altroz also gets an air purifier system, which the Baleno does not offer. An air purifier can be a very helpful addition in highly polluted cities where the AQI levels are harmful.
Illuminated Steering Wheel
Another upmarket touch in the interior of the facelifted Altroz is the illuminated steering wheel. The steering wheel is a four-spoke unit, also found in bigger Tata offerings like the Harrier and Safari. Meanwhile, the Baleno features a three-spoke steering wheel. However, both offer steering-mounted controls.
Six Airbags as Standard
Lastly, the 2025 Altroz is offered with 6 airbags from the base Smart variant itself. While the Baleno is available with 6 airbags, they are offered only from the higher-spec Zeta variant onwards. Entry-level variants of the Baleno come equipped with just dual front airbags. That said, both hatchbacks offer safety tech like ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
Tata is likely to launch the 2025 Altroz facelift at a starting price of around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom). The prices of the Maruti Baleno start from Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 9.92 lakh (ex-showroom).
Overall, the additions in the 2025 Altroz facelift make it more appealing than the Baleno. However, it remains to be seen at what price the Altroz will be launched. What do you think of the facelifted Altroz? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
