VinFast Unveils All-electric VF Wild Pickup Concept At Auto Expo 2025

Vietnamese automaker VinFast has pulled the wraps off the new all-electric VF Wild pickup concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It features a rugged design and a flexible load bed. The brand says that this pickup concept is aimed at a new generation of young customers who prefer green mobility, especially electric vehicles without losing performance. Hence, the VF Wild pickup promises “exceptional performance”.

VinFast VF Wild Electric Concept: Design And Dimensions

The VF Wild is a mid-size pickup measuring 5,324 mm in length and 1,997 mm in width. For instance, the India-spec Toyota Hilux pickup is 5,325 mm long and 1,855 mm wide.

The pickup concept features a design similar to the other VinFast models, including the VF 8 and VF 9. It has a sleek headlights setup paired with a split light bar that spans across the width of the vehicle. There is a chunky body cladding in gloss black with skid plates at the front and rear. With its massive tyres, not only the VF Wild looks rugged, but it also gives it a muscular stance. Not to mention the digital outside rearview mirrors to improve overall aerodynamic efficiency. The pickup is jointly designed by VinFast and GoMotiv — an Australian design studio.

One highlight of the VF Wild includes a flexible bed size, which can be extended thanks to the powered-folding mid-gate. Its bed length can go up from 5 to 8 feet when the rear seats are folded. As a result, this claims to offer the longest load bed in its segment.

Although the interior details of the VF Wild concept are scarce at the moment, it is expected that the pickup will feature a premium and minimalist layout similar to the current electric vehicles. A large infotainment system, sustainable materials used for upholstery, and a lot of tech may dominate the cabin.

VinFast VF Wild Electric Concept: Powertrain

Similar to the interior, VinFast has yet to reveal the powertrain details of the VF Wild electric concept. However, it may come powered by a sizable battery pack with a capacity of around 100 kWh paired with at least a dual-motor setup. There might be a quad-motor setup on the cards as well.

While VinFast has unveiled the VF Wild electric pickup in the concept form, its production version is likely to be showcased sometime later before it goes on sale in various markets. Upon market debut, it will compete with Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian RT1, and Tesla Cybertruck.
