Apart from launching an all-new, also the most affordable, variant of the S1 called the S1 Air, Ola Electric has also revealed the details about the MoveOS 3 update. Here are all the features promised earlier that make their way to the e-scooters via the new software update.
Firstly, the feature that makes the most noise on this update is the imitative motor sounds. Replicating the sharp sound of a UFO flying, the S1s now get an external motor sound, a similar feature that you find on the Revolt RV400. It could be capable of giving you an out of this world experience (sorry, not sorry).

Next up is the Riding Moods feature, which alters the layout theme of the e-scooter’s console as well as the motor sounds. There are three ‘Moods’ available – Bolt, Vintage and Eclipse.

With the new update the e-scooter is also capable of Hypercharging. Currently, Ola has stated that it has set up 50 such fast charging stations across the country, so the utilisation of this feature on a grand scale will take some time.
Other features include proximity unlock (S1 will unlock when the rider approaches it), key sharing (multiple riders can ride the bike with the digital keys), and Bluetooth calling.

Ola has finally brought hill-hold assist and multi-level regenerative braking V2 to the S1 with the latest software update along with a vacation mode that conserves the battery over an extended period of non-usage.
The beta testing for MoveOS 3 has already begun and you can sign up for it. However, the official roll-out of the update will commence only from the first week of December 2022.
