  • Q. How is Renault kwid?
    Zigwheels | 8 months ago

You can pick between a 0.8-litre or a 1.0-litre engine with the Kwid. While the smaller engine is available with a 5-speed manual only, the latter gives you the option of a 5-speed AMT as well. We’d recommend skipping the 800cc variant altogether, and getting the 1.0-litre version instead. The bigger motor not only feels livelier inside the city, but also doesn’t feel as strained on the highway. There’s the option of the AMT for some convenience as well. But that convenience does come at a price. Where the 1.0-litre manual took 13.9 seconds to get to 100kmph, the AMT took a yawn-inducing 17.44 seconds. The AMT was also less fuel efficient compared to the manual, returning 16.28kmpl (vs 20kmpl) inside the city, and 19.09kmpl (vs 23.03kmpl) on the highway. The Renault Kwid is a direct salvo at the ultra successful Maruti Suzuki Alto and the popular Hyundai Eon. Although many have tried to break into this market, the Kwid for one may prove to be more than popular with Indian audiences. With the 2018 update the Kwid is now slightly better looking, gets more convenience feature and, most importantly, gets new safety-enhancing features for rear passengers Read More: - Renault Kwid Climber 1.0 and Kwid 1.0 AMT: Road Test Review: https://www.zigwheels.com/reviews-advice/reviews/renault-kwid-climber-10-and-kwid-10-amt-road-test-review/30108

With the 2018 update the Kwid is now slightly better looking, gets more convenience feature and, most importantly, gets new safety-enhancing features for rear passengers. Kwid has made budget hatchbacks cool, but not at the expense of practicality. It is surprisingly spacious, very well equipped (especially with the new 2018 update) and handles bad roads well too. Only serious miss is the lack of ABS. Still, gotta love it.

  • Q. What is performance of kwid automatic variant??
    Zigwheels | 10 months ago

The Kwid was positioned as an affordable city car and the automatic gearbox helps it serve that objective even better, thanks to the sheer convenience of an automatic without compromising on fuel efficiency. It is actually more efficient than the manual, with a claimed 24.04kmpl. The Kwid AMT excels in terms of shift quality, and drivability and is one of the best AMT gearboxes we have reviewed. We expect performance and fuel efficiency numbers to be strong too. While prices are yet to be announced, expect a 20 to 30 thousand rupee hike over the manual version which is good value for the convenience and overall usability offered. AMTs are coming of age and the Kwid AMT shows that you don’t need expensive cars to enjoy the convenience of an automatic.

  • Q. Can kwid climber run on the Hill?
    Indranil | 3 months ago

Driving at hill is entirely different learning of driving. If you are expert at hill drive we suggest take car expert advice before buying it. generally 4 wheel bit big car with more displacement (engine power) car is best.Kwid is not advised for Hill.

It's good for a long drive in terms of mileage. Overtaking other vehicles may depend on your driving skills. Overall till now very happy with my Kwid

  • Q. Is Kwid best for village road and what would be the mileage?
    Zigwheels | 10 months ago

Kwid’s SUV-like design, broad shoulders and beefed arches makes it look anything but a budget hatch. The Renault Kwid’s interiors are equally impressive and we really like the way the chrome outlines the center console. The practicality of the cabin is aided by cup holders, cubbyholes, two large size glove boxes with a recess in between them, 12V power socket for the rear passengers and rear center armrest. Further, Kwid's class-leading 2422 mm wheelbase makes it the most spacious car in the category. The Kwid has made budget hatchbacks cool, but not at the expense of practicality. It is surprisingly spacious, very well equipped (especially with the new 2018 update) and handles bad roads well too. Only serious miss is the lack of ABS. Still, gotta love it. The claimed ARAI mileage for the Renault KWID petrol is 25 kmpl. Do take a test drive in order to judge your driving comfort.

Absolutely yes. Mileage depends on road conditions as well efficiency of driving too. Expert driver can give 23 km per liter at highway with AC. P.S.- AC is highly recommend for car to keep clean inside and avoid dust issue. Because interior cleaning is too expensive rather than running car without AC.

  • Q. I need to buy Renault Kwid RXT O this one good for long trip, how much mileage we get and if possible to add one more airbag in front side?
    Zigwheels | 2 months ago

The Renault KWID is a perfect entry-level hatchback as it is one of the most affordable hatches nowadays. Although you might feel that the cushioning on the seats could have been softer but the KWID performs exceptionally well on road. At the higher speeds, some amount of wind noise and tyre noise slips into the cabin. The Renault KWID offers a tested mileage of 21.7 kmpl. The passenger airbag is not offered on the Renault KWID RXT(O) from the company but we would still suggest you visit the authorised service centre for the assistance regarding the installation co-passenger airbag.Click here for Dealership: https://www.zigwheels.com/dealers/Renault
