The Venue is offered with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. Petrol engine options consist of an 83PS 1.2-litre petrol and a 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol while the diesel variant comes with a 100PS 1.5-litre unit. While all three engines come with a manual option, only the turbo-petrol engine is offered with a 7-speed DCT. The turbo-petrol engine is also offered with a 6-speed clutchless manual gearbox whereas Creta comes with the a 115PS 1.5-litre diesel and 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual, automatic and 7-speed DCT gearbox options. The more powerful petrol engine is paired with a single transmission option, a 7-speed dual-clutch (DCT). A CVT gearbox is available with the petrol engine, while a 6-speed torque converter is offered with the diesel. As standard, the Creta comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
