  • Q. How is the after sales service of skoda.. planning on buying one but all i hear is they had a bad past and still not great with service?? any inputs if they have improved cause its an expensive vehicle to buy and dont want headaches after spending this kind of money. - Octavia?

    Aftersale is not that good. take an extended warranty.most of the parts are tested in cold conditions so replacement may be there. There are other service centres you can opt for one.Be aware of the problems give car for routine check ups it will be fine.

    After the warranty period, it's better to get it serviced at any good Bosch authorised service centres or with Pitstop services, if available in your city. These authorised Skoda centres still fleece you!

    It is a darling to drive.Very sturdy.Strong doors.Even today after almost 10 yrs it feels good.I hv tried a few cars for test drive, & when i return to my car, I hv always felt my car is better than that new test driven car.It gives literally a tank like feel.Xcellent pick up very easy to over take.Huge trunk.Superb mileage almost 18kms/l on high way.Solid steering feed back.Leather interiors look good.The automatic transmission is one of the best in its class.Last 10 yrs there were no issues.The only draw back i felt was its bulkiness & length in city driving conditions.
