Latest On Mercedes-Benz G-Class

Mercedes-AMG has launched the next-generation G-Wagen in India. Available in a single variant priced at Rs 2.19 crore (ex-showroom), the G 63 redefines ‘badass’. The performance SUV borrows the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from the AMG GT sportscar. But, under the bonnet of the big G, it’s making a whopping 585PS of power and 850Nm of torque. Pair that with a slick 9-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive, and you’ve got a behemoth that does 0-100kmph in just 4.5 seconds. That’s quicker than most sportscars!

Mercedes-Benz G-Class Highlights

The very original, rugged, and true off-roader Mercedes G-class retails in Indian market at a heavy price tag of Rs 2.19 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The highlight of G-class design is its boxy and squared-off design, upright stance, small windows, and tail-mounted spare wheel. The retro design theme continuous inside the cabin and thanks to the low set Dashboard, outside visibility is absolutely excellent. The seats are quite comfortable and Mercedes has provided plenty of creature comfort to carry the occupants in absolute luxury. Under the Hood, the G-class comes powered by a 5.5-liter V8 dual turbocharged petrol engine putting out 544 bhp along with 760 Nm of max torque, coupled with a 7-speed automatic transmission sending the drive to all the four wheels of the SUV. In the Indian market, Mercedes G-class is pitted against the likes of Range Rover, Lamborghini Urus, Jeep Wrangler, and Toyota Land Cruiser among others.
