Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying Compass

Q. How is the automatic version? Is it the latest version of automatic transmission - Compass?
  • In the diesel variant, the gearbox could've been a bit more polished and the small engine seems to struggle a bit lugging around the big Compass. If we were to choose right now, we'd still pick the manual diesel. If you’ve got your heart set on the petrol-auto; you will have to adapt to its ways and drive with a light foot. Not only because it’s thirsty, but also a lot more relaxed to drive, when you are. : By Zigwheels | 1 year ago
  • Dear sir / Madam I don't think that mileage should be a concern when you have a great jeep which has been around for more than 100 years these jeeps served the first and second world wars it is the company that helped India in starting Mahindra & Mahindra back in the 1950 or so do go ahead and buy you will be glad that you did : By YOSEF | 1 year ago

Q. How is this car performance wise - Compass?
  • Mayank has given you the perfect answer, for example, Jeep experience is Polo sports of hatchback car's, in a very different league if ride quality is what you want : By Rajiv | 7 months ago
  • Excellence running compared to mg,kia and hyundai : By Aditya | 1 week ago
  • Jeep Compass diesel has a breathtaking mid range. Initially therz a bit of lag otherwise it is a decent performer . : By Tikka | 11 months ago
Q. Planning to buy Petrol AT limited plus. Can existing customers throw some light on its performance and will the engine be powerful enough to pull fully loaded car through ghat sections and steep incline, Does hill hold assist works as its marketed - Compass?
  • The Limited Plus commands a premium of around Rs 1 lakh over the previous range-topping variant, the Limited (O). It seems justified, given the premium goodies and additional features that the segment warrants. Some of which include auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, six airbags and powered driver’s seat. Being a new variant, the Limited Plus remains mechanically unchanged. Its petrol version is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo petrol (163PS/250Nm) mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The diesel version has a 2.0-litre engine (173PS/350Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual with either 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain options. - Jeep Compass Petrol Automatic: Road Test Review: https://www.zigwheels.com/reviews-advice/reviews/jeep-compass-petrol-automatic-road-test-review/29339 : By Zigwheels | 1 year ago
  • The claimed ARAI mileage for the Jeep Compass petrol is 16 kmpl. Limited trim offers you the widest choice of engine and drivetrain options. It is the only variant that offers an automatic option – a 7-speed dual-clutch auto with the 1.4-litre turbo petrol. Q. Please enlighten me on jeep compass 1.4 L Automatic version on following 1. actual mileage 2. actual cost of maintenance 3. performance please reply compass owners to help me in taking decision?
  • I also have the same question. Octavia is good but the new model is (possibly) coming at the end of next year. Regarding Altis, it's outdated. Either go for Jeep, if you are not living in a big city or wait for Skoda Karoq or Citron C5. : By Prashant | 2 weeks ago
  • FIrst thing first. Petrol Compass is not a peppy car to drive. In real world conditions and in big cities the fuel average is dismal. 6-8 is the best that u cn expect overall. The regular maintenance is at par with cars in same price bracket. It is roughly around 10000/- for every service. Service interval is 15000 kms. : By Tikka | 11 months ago
  • Then what is right choice in between jeep compass , octavia or corolla altis. shall it be of worth to wait for automatic version of harrier or skoda karoq! : By K | 11 months ago
Q. Is limited plus model is good or not the petrol variant - Compass?
  • In addition to what the Limited (O) packs, the Limited Plus offers the following features: - Panoramic sunroof. - 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat along with 4-way power lumbar support and memory function. - Bigger 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment screen, which is the biggest in its class. The lower variants offer the 7-inch Uconnect unit. Both the systems offer support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto though. - The bi-xenon projector headlamps get automatic functionality. - Bigger 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The Limited (O), on the other hand, gets 17-inch alloys. - Borrows six airbags from the Limited and Limited (O) 4x4 variants. - Rain-sensing wipers- - Auto-dimming inside rearview mirror.
