Q. I have been hearing a lot of negative reviews about the RE Himalayan about the build and chassis not being too good or saying there are lot of issues of breakdowns and not suitable for long rides etc etc, I really wanted to pick one up because I am a frequent traveler and will be going on long tours and looking for a bike that can last longer without too much of fuss! Is there any other bike which someone can recommend me.

Don't bother to listen to all these. I myself bought one in June 2018, and till today it clocked 12000 km and that too solely in long distance rides with pillion & luggage. Rode to lot of places including highways, mountains and no road conditions. Even met an accident but nothing major happened to the machine. I strongly oppose about the rumours of bad build quality of Himalayan. It is a perfect touring motorcycle. If you love your machine & take care of it, it will give you back the same amount of happiness...simple as that. But yes, the pain lies in tube type tyres. And, if you are prone to push your machine for faster rides, Himalayan may not be your right choice....

Himalayan is the best motorcycle for long rides and specially adventure purpose in this price segment. There were issues in the earlier models when it was newly launched but now all the problems has been resolved.

There are reliability issues in the bike due to low build quality.
