  • Q. Is there any issue with gear shifting on Gixxer? I heard lot that gear shifting is not that smooth on Gixxer as other competitors.

    It's extremely hard when you first buy it even seems broken. Its done to stop you from riding it fast for first 5000 kilometres. At first service the staff will set it properly, so make sure you buy from the best Suzuki dealer in your area. Else skip it altogether.

    There is no problem with the gear shifting after first service. For new bike, use clutch for every gear shift when shift to downwards/upwards. If gear doesn't shifts downwards then release the clutch and again press. It works. Downshifting 2-3 gears in a single clutch press feels hard. But after 1st service, gear shifting will be very smooth.

    @ Satadal | Yes,some time it got stuck while downshifting.

    It gets stuck between 2&3 very often when new. But ride it anyway and it will become usable by around 5000 km. check with service center staff, they say the same.

    Goodengine refinement

    Get 40kmpl Seat comfort not good for both rider and pillionStyling is goodPerformance is really goodEngine refinement is good as well. I do 80-90km per day in city and highway. Overall happy. Wish mileage was better and comfort was more.
