• Q. I am planning to buy new bike and Yamaha FZ 25 is a strong contender. I prefer to go for touring, I only have one question in my mind, will it be able to cruise smoothly, effortlessly without vibration at three digit speed?

Before Taking about the cruising speed. Have I driven enough to answer cruising speed Yes I guess. I have done continuous long rides 400km Theni to Bangalore, Bangalore to chikmagalur hills (335km) multiple times, hill riders Kodaikanal and more. So the comfortable curing speed according to me is 105 to 112kmph obviously mileage will be 32.5kmph cause of speed. 98 to 105 you will have vibrations but once you start cruising above 105 engine is very refined I didn't feel much of vibrations. And importantly I'm using Motul 300v 100% synthetic engine oil. If you want mileage cruise at 80 to 90kmph you will get 40km/L

@ Swagat | If I cruise at an speed around 60-90 in highways, will it be comfortable for a long distance travel ?

If it's about FZ 25, cruising steadily at 60-90 kmph is very normal for the bike. You can ride for hours at that speed. Yamaha doesn't market the bike as tourer, but it's a good tourer. Positively.

  • Good Bike

It offers comfort both in city and on highways, making it a great choice in the 250 cc segment due to its affordability and performance. The mileage is impressive, averaging around 40 on highways and 35 in the city. Its dual-channel ABS enhances braking power significantly, making it safer to ride. The FZ25 is also suitable for long rides. However, its maintenance costs are higher compared to other bikes in its class. One drawback is the lower ground clearance, and it lacks a gear shift indicator. Additionally, it has an oil-cooled engine. I have faced an issue where the engine malfunction indicator lights up after the bike is washed with water.
