First check air filter because air filter is nose of a bike, scooter or a car. It breathes like a man. Sufficient air intake is essential for carburettor or fuel injection system to burn petrol. If you see it is dirty clean first or it is damage then replace immediately. Second tuning the carburettor by experience technician.Third run the vehicle 45-50 km/hr. More speed less mileage ~ This verdict is applicable for all types of vehicles. Less brake also.

Don't rev the engine hard, ride at a steady speed between 45 and 55 kmph. Avoid randomly applying your brakes, try to guess the behaviour of other road users so that you can use the brakes judiciously. That should give you at least 46-47 kmpl. As an aside, I am 52+ years, and I rarely follow the above rules. I get around 37-38 kmpl.

@ Saurabh | How you are calculating mileage? The idea to calculate mileage is to refuel the tank when scooter says FUEL IS IN RESERVE. Put 1L fuel and reset the tripmeter. Run the scooter and when the scooter is in reserve again you can see the trip done..

It is always better to check the mileage by filling the tank full write down the meter reading and fill it again after driving for 50 -60 km, fill it again to full tank and then divide with the number of liter you have filled, you will get the exact mileage
