Generally, 10-15% percent of the fuel tank capacity is determined as the reserve, however, with the fuel injected engine you do not get the option to switch the fuel source and that excludes the reserve fuel tank. Yamaha FZS-FI V3 features a fuel tank of 13 L.

This bike doesn't have Reserve fuel. However, if the fuel level shows 1 point then it's better the sooner you re-fuel. Its not recommended to drive up to the last drop of fuel in Fuel injected bikes.

2 liters I guess, I have driven up to 60 KM with the low fuel indicator blinking. Didn't test it to the end because I heard it is bad for the fuel injector.

  • A Year with My Yamaha FZS-FI V3

The Yamaha FZS-FI V3 has been my trusty steed for over a year now and it been a mostly delightful experience. The bike 149cc engine with 12.4 PS power and 13.6 Nm torque packs enough punch for city rides and short sprints outside town. Its fuel efficiency is excellent at about 45 kmpl making it an economical choice. The bike does have its downsides. The rear suspension can feel a bit stiff on rough roads translating to a less comfortable ride in unpredictable Indian road conditions.

  • A Mixed Bag Experience

It has been a rollercoaster ride with my Yamaha FZS-FI V3. The allure of its sharp design complemented by the sleek LED headlight and digital dashboard made me fall for it instantly. With a 149cc engine outputting 12.4 PS, it erase the line between power and efficiency beautifully. It has been mostly smooth sailing or should I say riding especially in the city thanks to its agile handling and lightweight (137kg).But The seat hardness is something that could have been given more thought not aiding in the comfort needed for longer rides.

  • My Experience with Yamaha FZ-FI V3

After clocking more than a few thousand kilometers on my Yamaha FZ-FI V3, it feels like high time to pen down my journey so far. First off the bike's design captures your eye , it has sleek, modern and has that muscular stance synonymous with the Yamaha FZ series. Its 149cc engine might seem modest on paper delivering 12.4 PS of power but it packs a punch in real world conditions offering a smooth ride even on bumpy roads. The fuel efficiency is pretty decent as well gives around the 45 kmpl mark which is a blessing given the fluctuating fuel prices.
