Ducati SuperSport 950 Latest Updates
The Ducati SuperSport 950 goes on sale in India at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The S trim costs Rs 15.49 lakh, and for Rs 20,000 more, you can get the S model in the Arctic White Silk shade. The price bump is quite significant, especially considering that the changes to the bike aren’t very comprehensive. Head here for more details.
Yes, the 2021 model gets a new look that’s inspired from the Panigale siblings, with improved aero efficiency. Also, the engine hasn’t lost any performance, and the electronic suite is aided by a Bosch six-axis IMU.
It continues to be powered by the 937cc Testastretta L-twin motor that makes 110PS at 9500rpm and 93Nm at 6500rpm. A six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter is standard on both trims. The rider aids include three rider modes (Urban, Touring, and Sport), traction control, wheelie control and ABS, all of which are IMU-assisted.
On the standard model, you get a 43mm Marzocchi USD fork/Sachs monoshock setup whereas the S model gets highly sophisticated Ohlins suspension. All units are fully adjustable. Like the previous model, Brembo M4.32 monobloc calipers anchor the bike. What’s new, though, is the Brembo front radial master-cylinder. Lastly, the 3-spoke Y-shaped alloy wheels are shod with grippy Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tyres.
The Ducati SuperSport S locks horns with the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX. While the Aprilia RS 660 has a smaller motor, it falls in the same genre of motorcycle as the Ducati. For the asking price, you could also consider the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, the Suzuki Hayabusa and the Aprilia Tuono 660.

- It would be unfair to give a verdict here as Ducati Monster 1200 has been discontinued and is not available for sale in the market. As for the 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 hasn't launched yet, so we would suggest you to wait for the bike to launch. Follow the link to get an alert when 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950.
- It is surprisingly easy to ride in a hurry, requires little inputs in traffic, and is a bike you can live with on a daily basis. Like a Multistrada. Obviously, it can’t go off the road like a Multistrada, but it is sharper and dynamically more capable. City riding in Urban mode needs some getting used to as you have to account for the lack of horses and the lag in throttle, courtesy of the heavy DTC intervention. Ride improves with speed and the Supersport loses composure only on sharp ridges, resulting in the front skipping a bit. The front end feels a tad heavy to steer and needs some getting used to. It makes the performance more accessible to newer riders, though, and easy to ride in traffic as well. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- I would say Ducati Supersport, its more practical to use, MV is more exotic in my opinion, comes with its share of perks and negatives, but from usablility point of view Supersport is a better choice, if you r looking to keep it exotic, under 5k kms a year type, u can opt for MV.
- Really mv agusta parts are more costly than ducati ones

Triumph Trident 660 is priced at Rs. 6.95 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi), which is an introductory price. It is offered in only one variant - STD. Powering the Trident is a similar version of the 660cc triple motor that you find on the Euro-spec Street Triple S. It has quite a lot of different internal parts that are dedicated to making the motor feel a lot more accessible. 81PS at 10,250rpm and 64Nm at 5,000rpm is produced here, making it one of the leaders in terms of performance in this segment. A six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch comes in as standard and one can fit a bi-directional quick shifter from the Triumph’s accessory catalogue. Triumph features. LED lighting all around was a given but there is the signature Triumph touch to them. The round console is a fully digital unit with the top LCD portion displaying info such as speed, revs, fuel level, and the current gear selected. The bottom half is a color TFT panel allowing you to control the electronic aids as well as introduce smartphone connectivity for which you need to buy a separate module. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Yes, it has a pretty comfortable seat for a pillion, grabrails are an accessory. Seat cowl comes as standard for S model and is removable, for standard model it's available as an accessory as well
- I have done rides upto 600km to and fro and the pillion was comfortable, rest depends on the person also. But in general its pretty decent back seat, wide and well cushioned.
