Platina 110 H Gear Key Highlights

Design: Not much has changed in terms of design here: the Platina 110 continues to stand the test of time with its commuter-centric design. The only differences are the new graphics and the LED DRL that came with the BS4 model.

Features: Here’s where the Platina 110 really shines. Aside from the LED DRL, the bike also gets a semi-digital instrument console which features a gear shift and position indicator, low battery and service due indicator, clock, odometer, fuel gauge and two tripmeters.

Engine: The Platina H-Gear BS6 is powered by a 115.45cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that's tuned to produce 8.6PS at 7000rpm and 9.81Nm at 5000rpm. It also benefits from an extra cog which should improve its highway fuel efficiency. This makes it the only bike in the segment with a 5-speed transmission. The Platina is the first bike in its segment to feature an optional 240mm front disc brake, and the only one until the BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 came along. Its braking setup consists of a 240mm front disc and a 110mm rear drum brake with ASB (Anti Skid Braking). It employs a telescopic fork and twin nitrox shock absorbers at the rear for its suspension setup.

Rivals: The Platina 110 H Gear goes up against the BS6 TVS Star City Plus, Honda Dream Yuga and the Hero Splendor iSmart BS6. Despite being a tough segment, the Platina still manages to hold its own against them.
