The Toyota Innova HyCross has nothing to do with the Innova name plate other than the name plate itself. But In giving you everything that the Innova Crysta gives you and then adds features, a premium cabin experience, more space and convenience to the package, then we can say that it certainly deserves to wear that badge.
The HyCross will be available with two petrol powertrains. The lower variants will be powered by a 2-litre, naturally aspirated, petrol motor with a CVT automatic transmission. The top variants will feature a strong Hybrid drive train also paired with a 2-litre petrol. This will also be only available with an eCVT automatic transmission. You will want to stretch for the hybrid drivetrain for the extra punch and efficiency. Toyota are claiming 21.1kmpl and a 0-100 kmph timing of 9.5 seconds.
The Hycross is packed with features to that include a panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control, ottoman 2nd row seats with near full recline function, powered tailgate, 9-speaker JBL sound system and plenty of practical space.
Prices are expected to be revealed in January.
