-The Tata Nexon EV will be available in three variants- XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux.
-Tata’s upcoming EV’s prices are expected to range between Rs 15 lakh and 17 lakh.
-It is powered by a 30.2kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of more than 300km.
-The Tata Nexon EV gets DC fast charging that can juice it upto 80% in an hour.
-There’s a slow AC charger that can be plugged in a regular 15A socket and fully charge the EV in 8 hours.
-Tata Motors is expected to launch the Nexon EV in the next few weeks.
Tata Motors dealerships have already began accepting bookings for a token sum of Rs 21,000. It gets power from a 129PS electric motor that delivers 245Nm of instantaneous torque. Tata claims a 0-100kmph sprint in 9.9 seconds. It also gets driving modes- Drive and Sport. Engaging Sport mode can increase torque by 60% which is delivered in bursts.
Tata says the Nexon EV is capable of achieving a 5 star GNCAP rating as its ICE-powered sibling. It gets safety features that include ABS with EBD, dual airbags, ISOFIX, hill assist and descent control.
