Suzuki’s popular scooter, the Access 125 was launched in its BS6 avatar in January 2020. Priced between Rs 64,800 and Rs 69,500 (ex-showroom Delhi), all the variants of the BS6 model are approximately Rs 6,500 more expensive compared to the BS4 version. Additional features in the Access 125 BS6 model include an LED headlight as standard, an external fuel filler cap and Eco indicator lights in the instrument console.
Powering the Suzuki Access 125 BS6 is the same 124cc single-cylinder engine from the BS4 model which has not been fuel injected to meet the more stringent emissions norms. The end result is the same power output, but a slight reduction in peak torque. The rest of the underpinnings of the scooter remain the same as before. So it still has the same underbone chassis while the suspension consists of a telescopic front fork and a single rear shock.
As before, the front wheel is 12 inches while the rear is still 10 inches. The top-spec variant gets alloy rims with a front disc brake while braking duties at the rear are handled by a drum unit, which remain the same on all variants. The Access 125 BS6 has variants which feature a front drum brake along with steel wheels at both ends.
