Ssangyong unveiled the 4th generation of the Korando at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. The new Korando is larger and since it sits on a stretched version of the X100 platform that underpins the Ssangyong Tivoli and the Mahindra XUV300, its wheelbase is longer as well.
Still at 4410mm long, 1830mm wide and 1675mm tall the Korando is quite a bit smaller than the current XUV500 so we expect Mahindra to make a fair few changes to it before it debuts in the subcontinent.
The Korando currently sports two engine options - an all-new 1.5-litre turbo petrol and an updated 1.6-litre diesel engine. The petrol motor delivers 163PS of power and 280Nm of torque, while the diesel unit churns out 136PS and 324Nm. There’s a lengthy list of safety and comfort features as well including lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, heated windscreen and automatic headlamps and wipers.
