Seen first at the 2020 auto expo, the Kia Sonet has now gone from a funky concept to a car you can buy in the same year. The Sonet is late to the sub compact SUV game and goes up against 6 well established models but has multiple tricks up its sleeve to make the stalwarts break a sweat.
The features list is long and includes LED headlights with DRLs, projector fog lights, 16 onch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, front and rear parking sensors, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control and traction modes, drives modes, a sunroof, wireless phone charger, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7 speaker BOSE music system, LED sound mood lighting, an integrated air purifier with perfume diffuser, connected car technology, auto AC with rear AC vents, leatherette seat upholstery, cruise control, a digital instrument cluster and for the first time in the segment, ventilated front seats!
It shares its engine and transmission options with the Venue and gets the same 1.2 litre petrol (5-speed manual), 1.0 litre turbo petrol (6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 7-speed automatic) and 1.5 litre diesel engine with both a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic.
