The Citroen C5 Aircross is the French automaker’s first new car for India. Scheduled for a launch towards the end of 2020, this SUV will be locally assembled in India and will also be available for sales online. It packs in the distinctive Citroen styling and promises to deliver the Citroen core values of comfort and design.
Citroen C5 Aircross Expected Price:
The Citroen C5 Aircross will be a locally assembled model but not one that is manufacturer in its entirely at Citroen’s plant in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. We estimate a starting price of around Rs 15-16 lakh, with Citroen prioritising the petrol engine as its powertrain of choice. While Citroen does have plans to heavily localise components for its future launches, that’s something we will get to see starting 2021.
New Citroen C5 Aircross Specs and Features:
Citroen launched the new C5 Aircross in Europe in the beginning of 2019. The latest version gets features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital TFT instrument cluster,, auto AC, a panoramic sunroof with an electric blind and a 3-way split rear seat that slides and folds. It also sports LED headlights, DRLs & 17-18 inch alloy wheels.
2020 Citroen C5 Aircross SUV Performance:
Citroen will offer the C5 Aircross with both, petrol and diesel engines. However, it does consider petrol power to be the stronger choice going forward. This 5-seater SUV is available with engine options like a 3-cylinder, 1.2 litre petrol motor, along with a 1.6 litre, 4-cylinder petrol. For diesel buyers, it is available with 1.5 litre and 2.0 litre diesel engines, paired either with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic transmission.
