Pros and Cons

  • Pros
  • Cons

Hyundai i20 N Line

  • Tweaked suspension
  • better brakes and a sweeter sounding engine with interiors to match. Plus it looks fast and doesn't cost an arm and a leg more than the regular i20

Hyundai Verna

  • Subtle styling update looks great. Lots of engine and drive train options. Features and connected tech.

Hyundai i20 N Line

  • No bump up in power from the 1.0-litre turbo petrol. Changes add a little weight. Still not the quickest in it's segment

Hyundai Verna

  • Turbo only available in the top spec SX(O) variant.

  • Verna SX petrol is better value for money at 10.78 lacs ex showroom price. It comes loaded with features like sunroof, digital IC, rear camera, alloys, wireless charger, hands free boot, etc. Engine is very refined, very silent cabin, the best in segment. Smooth gearbox. Pleasant and soft to drive. Mileage is decent for petrol, you can get 19 in highway also! Hyundai wide service network is a bonus.

Q. I want to buy a sedan petrol version in 2020. Should I prefer Verna 2020 or Honda City 2020?
  • Verna SX variant is value for money. It offers sunroof, digital instrument cluster, smart trunk, 16 inch alloys, wireless charger, rear curtain, cool box, etc. And it is priced below the base variant of Honda City. At 12 lacs on road, it is a very good deal. Also Verna engine is very silent, smooth gearbox, it offers you a soft, pleasant and relaxed driving experience.
  • Verna has better features and styling. Steering and performance is better than city. Instrument cluster is modern and the touchscreen infotainment is the best in the class. Honda city's Instrument cluster looks like an aftermarket one. Also the seat ventilation is a bliss in the hot Indian climate
  • Honda City will be the best choice in terms of handelling, space, looks and comfort. The cabins are well insulated, ride is smooth. Shock absorber area best in this segment. It is a value for money.

Q. Which is best for me venue or verna?
  • Both cars are of different segments and come in different price ranges too. The Venue is a sub 4-meter compact SUV and it is a perfect balance of size, features and machinery in its segment. It might not wow you in any particular manner, but it feels just right. If you often tackle bad road conditions and looking for a feature-loaded car at a price, you may go for Hyundai Venue. On the other hand, Hyundai Verna is a compact SUV. The Verna's never been a car that had something exceptionally exciting to it. It just gave you the right balance of quality, comfort, and features which made it a tempting package. With the facelift, that essence hasn't changed. And, except for a cramped rear seat there still isn’t much to dislike about it either. It's actually one of the best sedans for relaxed daily commutes. So, while it may seem like bland vanilla ice cream on paper, it has a secret sauce, which leaves just the right taste in your mouth. You may compare both the cars according to their variants too. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
  • Verna is 4 meters plus sedan, looks great, premium feel, but slightly costly than Venue. If you can stretch your budget, Verna SX (10.78 lacs) is a very good option with almost all cool features.
