Key Things to Know about Altroz 2020-2023
- Good road presence. Supple ride and great balance between handling and comfort. Practical and spacious cabin. Now with a dual clutch automatic option and a more powerful turbo petrol
- Naturally aspirated petrol engine lacks refinement and is noisy. Gear shifts are clunky. Piano black accents on the outside easily pick up dust swirls. Dual Clutch auto not an option on the turbo petrol
The Altroz appeals with it's clever mix of features, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. But you can only have either the sweet turbo petrol or the dual clutch auto but not both. Why?

- Both the cars are good in their forte. The Tata Altroz fits right into the mix of premium hatchbacks. But because it does not deliver a step-up or wow experience over its rivals, it fails to set a new standard in the segment. The diesel does feel like a versatile unit and delivers a good drive on both highways and in the city. The long feature list is the practicality of the cabin with loads of storage and a good fit and finish. The balance of the Alpha Apc platform too raises the bar on comfort and handling in the segment. And finally, the looks, which definitely set a new standard in the segment. On the other hand, the new Baleno is still a safe and sensible choice. Now with the design changes, feature additions, and improved drive, it has become more desirable too. Some things could have been better though. Maruti Suzuki should have improved the seating comfort, given it a more powerful petrol engine option, and made more significant changes to the exterior to help it look like a brand-new car. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your city accordingly for dealership details.
