The Revamp Moto RM Mitra is an upcoming electric moped meant to be an eco-friendly alternative to the TVS XL100, and will cater to both B2B and B2C segments. We got to catch up with the company’s CEO, and here are our exclusive details about the RM Mitra.
It will be available in two variants: Lite and standard. The former will be priced at under Rs 1 lakh, including FAME 2 and state subsidies, whereas the latter will be around Rs 25,000-30,000 dearer than the Lite version. While the Lite is planned to be launched in August 2023, the standard variant will be launched a couple of months after the Lite hits the market.
The Lite version will be powered by a 3kWh fixed battery pack with a claimed range of 100-110km. It will have a 2kW (continuous power) motor producing a peak power of 4.5kW. The claimed top speed stands at 50-55kmph. Meanwhile, the standard variant will use a 3.8kWh swappable battery pack, offering a claimed range of 140-145km. The standard version will also have a higher claimed top speed of 65-70kmph.
In terms of design, both will look similar, and will be equipped with a telescopic fork, twin rear shock absorbers, and a front disc brake. The e-moped will come with an all-LED lighting, and a LCD instrument cluster along with a compartment to secure a smartphone.
