Prices for the redi-GO have been hiked by Rs 54,000 depending on the variant you pick. That said, prices for the base-spec D variant remain unchanged. Datsun has also axed the top-spec S variant; the T (O) is the new top-end model.

Along with BS6 upgrades, the 2020 Datsun redi-GO has got its first major update in the form of a facelift. The front end looks sharper with a larger honeycomb mesh grille, sleek halogen headlamps and ‘L’ shaped LED DRLs and fog lamps. In profile, apart from the new 14-inch flex wheels, the redi-GO profile looks similar to its predecessor. At the rear, changes are limited to new LED tail lamps.

While the exterior might be a bit reminiscent of its predecessor, the interior is brand new. Gone is the rudimentary dashboard and in comes a premium unit with plenty of gloss black and silver elements, upping the ambience. The central console comes with a new touchscreen infotainment and even the air con knobs are redesigned. Other highlights include a new instrument panel and steering wheel.

In terms of features, the redi-GO comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a manual air con, front power windows, a multi-info display and keyless entry. On the safety front, it features dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rear view camera.

The facelifted redi-GO continues to utilise the existing 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines with BS6 upgrades. Power figures and transmission options remain unchanged. Here’s a detailed spec table:
