Volvo India has enhanced the warranty experience for its customers by introducing an India-first lifetime parts warranty plan. Yep you read that right, all Volvo parts installed from the authorised workshop will be covered under warranty until the owner sells the vehicle. This also means, the new registered owner cannot avail this warranty plan.
The lifetime warranty plan is applicable for parts bought after the period of standard warranty. Should any of these parts require a repair job or replacement due to material or manufacturing defect, the warranty plan allows the part to be replaced or repaired free of charge at any authorised workshop.
Of course, there are some exceptions to where this lifetime warranty is valid. You can’t use this plan under the case of normal wear and tear of parts, consumables, batteries, accessories and software not associated with a hardware replacement. It also isn’t valid for parts being replaced under the new car warranty or extended warranty or goodwill warranty.
All Volvo parts bought from October 2021 onwards will be covered under the lifetime warranty, and is inclusive of both labour and part costs. Volvo’s current lineup comprises the S60, S90, XC40, XC60, and XC90, with the XC60 and S90 set to get a midlife facelift soon. Volvo is also planning to kickstart its electric journey in India with the XC40 Recharge SUV in early 2022.
