This Himalayan will gobble up good and bad roads like granolas for breakfast

Quick Highlights:

  • Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 spotted testing abroad yet again

  • Gets a larger windscreen and a different engine bashplate

  • Expected to launch in India by early 2027

Royal Enfield scaled new heights in the ADV segment with the highly-capable Himalayan 450, and now the brand is setting its sights on reaching the summit with a much bigger, badder twin-cylinder Himalayan, the Himalayan 750. The motorcycle has been spotted testing in Europe once again. This time around, it gets some upgrades, which makes it an even more capable globe-trotter than the current one.

The bike has been spotted testing before as well, and in the latest spy shots, it looks quite similar except for a few changes. It gets a new, larger windscreen and a different engine bash plate. The rest of the bits are the same as the one spotted earlier.

Paving New Paths, Quite Literally

The Himalayan 750 will be Royal Enfield’s first twin-cylinder adventure motorcycle. With the new upcoming ADV, the Chennai-based manufacturer plans to take on the world of mid-size adventure motorcycles, which have risen in popularity in the past few years. The mid-size ADV segment has been predominantly ruled by Kawasaki, Honda, Triumph and Suzuki with the Versys 650, XL750 Transalp, Tiger Sport 660 and the V-Strom 800 DE. Out of these, only the Transalp and the V-Strom are capable of handling both tarmac and off-road. Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 should also be capable of doing the same, but with a relatively simpler air-cooled parallel-twin setup, the Indian bikemaker will have the biggest advantage here - in terms of pricing. At an expected price of around Rs 4.5 lakh, the latest Himalayan 750 will undercut all its rivals while still being capable enough.

Still A Long Road Ahead

Enthusiasts who are eagerly waiting to get their hands on one will have to hold on to their horses a bit longer. The first motorcycle which will get the new 750cc engine will reportedly be the Continental GT-R 750, which will then be followed by the Himalayan 750. Expect the Himalayan 750 to be launched by 2026-end or by early-2027 in India.
